What Is My Skin Type?

Every Person’s Skin Is Unique

Our skin is our body’s largest organ, as complex and as intelligent as our heart, kidney, liver, and any other vital organs. It is in constant change as it adapts to the environment, climate, or any circumstances, so it is completely normal if our skin can change as seasons do.

For example, when you start using a cleanser for oily skin, even if they are recommended for excessive oiliness, the skin may send a signal to your skin that it needs to produce more oil in order to keep the moisture. Conversely, applying moisturizers that are too rich (thick or heavy) can result in decreased natural oil production, resulting in even drier skin.

Taking the time to learn and understand your skin’s specific needs will help you to choose the right products that will balance your skin and resulting in a healthier and more radiant complexion.

The four main and most common skin types are Oily, Normal, Combination, and Dry.

How to determine your skin type at home based on your natural skin's characteristics?

Wash Your face With The Right Cleanser For Your Skin Type

Follow these 4 steps:

  1. Take your time to wash your face and remove makeup and wash off the day's oil and dirt.

  2. Wait for two hours, without applying any product.

  3. What do you see? How does it feel?

  4. Take a look at all skin types and identify which one is your type.

Normal Skin

  • Any signs of flaking or oiliness.

  • Skin feels smooth

  • Feels normal

  • Fine pores

  • Healthy glow

  • Sebum production & moisture content are well balanced

  • Doesn’t react negatively to new products or weather changes

Oh... You must feel super lucky that your skin doesn't have as many concerns as other skin types! For normal skin, focus on maintaining balance. You can do this by sticking with the help of lightweight formulas, nothing too thick or heavy, balance is key!
